Here are some examples of the type of surface it is possible to get from old oak timber. These examples serve as a basis for discussion. They should help you to decide on the type of finish you require and allow you to show us the lightest/darkest, roughest/smoothest finishes that you would be happy with. We can then sort the timber according to your requirements.
Outside edges of oak beams, original finish >>
External sides of reclaimed oak overhead beams and framework beams.
Fresh from the mill and still rough or planed surfaces of re-sawn oak beams.
Original patina or planed oak boards and planks.
